A simple document yet powerful in its intent.  The roadmap to what you wish to be shared with your family, friends and charity; a way to ensure very specific gifts that can be as specific as the family heirlooms, the china, the paintings or less so – all the furniture, the cars, my stamp collection – are distributed to those you love.  With small children, you are able to provide for their care in the worst-case scenario – something happens to you to prohibit you from caring for them in the way you wish.  No matter, drafting a will provides the way to making sure YOUR wishes, and not those of the state, are carried out as you envision.
