About Kimberley

As a certified and licensed Professional Fiduciary, I seek a unique and complimentary opportunity to support the very donors I have worked with through the years as a non-profit fundraising professional. It is my goal to parlay my special skill set, developed over 25 years as a planned giving officer (focused on cultivation and creation of estate gifts and planned gift skills) into an active fiduciary career.

Estate planning and the broader discussion around leaving a legacy brings many components of a good fiduciary experience to the forefront of the planning conversation. It is a complimentary relationship creating a nurturing bond of trust, concern, and attention to detail.  As a fiduciary, I am uniquely qualified to provide services as trustee, guardian, estate executor, healthcare representative, agent under power of attorney, executor or conservator for those who might be mentally or physically incapacitated. I bring the added benefit of understanding the role of a charity and the partnership of serving as representative of an individual and charity in the realization of a significant gift through an estate or legacy gift.

I wish to serve as business manager, decision-maker or guardian as well as serving to support mental and emotional well-being; reducing stress of changing circumstances or unexpected events; and, most importantly help individuals, couples, and their families.

Very often the decisions of how to appropriately distribute assets and personal property, along with decisions of to whom to leave the balance of responsibility after one's passing provide tremendous emotional and personal planning challenges. I wish to take my skills as a career Planned Giving Officer and direct the same empathy, trust and relationship-building creating a valued resource in a wide variety of fiduciary matters.

Many individuals navigate their estate planning from the perspective of the documents they need to tackle on the journey to a completed estate plan. In many cases the personal aspects of planning and decision-making are given less emphasis. My personal and professional experience and dynamics with families (including my own), experience with navigating issues of inter-generational planning, siblings, children, and blended families as well as the unique perspective of understanding all that a charity might wish to know, makes me highly qualified in a very unique way compared to other fiduciaries.

My professional experience with a variety of charities - Palm Springs Desert Museum, The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, Scripps College and the Los Angeles Philharmonic has provided me with connections to deeply rooted families in their communities, multi-generational legacy and long-term relationships.  With this knowledge and a career spent working with donors and clients nearing the end of their life I am eager to assist these same clients and families in all aspects of planning;  as trustee, conservator, helping hand.
