As a fiduciary, I am uniquely qualified to provide services as executor, healthcare representative, trustee, or guardian for those who might be mentally or physically incapacitated. I wish to serve as business manager and decision-maker as well as serving to support mental and emotional well-being; reducing stress of changing circumstances or unexpected events; and, most importantly help individuals, couples, and their families.
As the executor of your estate, I serve as an objective administrator to efficiently and responsibly execute the settlement of your estate’s affairs. This includes marshaling and securing assets, paying expenses, maintaining any and all investment accounts and ultimately making distributions to any heirs and other beneficiaries.
As a trustee, I navigate the management of an existing trust; in essence, I control the assets of the trust. If you leave a will with your fiduciary also named as executor, my scope of responsibility will also extend to paying debts, filing tax returns, and transferring any property not held in the trust.
If a decedent left children under the age of 18, and there is no surviving parent able to raise them, a will may name a guardian at the parent’s request. If a parent has not specified in their will, a professional fiduciary may be named by the court to act as a personal and/or property guardian.
A professional fiduciary can provide support for many of the daily tasks associated with managing a household. I can assist with setting up a system for efficient bill pay, providing support in money management, and providing referrals to my team of trusted advisors to navigate more complex financial management.
I often serve as a trusted and compassionate advocate in healthcare issues. My role is set out and governed by the Durable Power of Healthcare, a legal document providing me with the authority to act on your behalf in evaluation and decisions around healthcare.
Following the untimely death of my dad there was no will or trust letting us know how to navigate his wishes. Thank goodness for someone who knew what to do and when. Having Kimberley represent me through the probate process has meant I can rest easy knowing bills are paid, the property is taken care of and all will be handled just the way it should have been.

Losing my Mother was the most significant event of my life. I didn't know how to prepare myself for the strange, new world it left in place of the world it took away. I just nodded a lot. I didn't know how else to respond to each moment and each challenge revealed. I can't begin to imagine what I would have done with any bit of the ' business ' involved with shutting down a persons entire life. It would seem almost profane to have to then consider crossing t’s and dotting I's. You need help. I did at least.
I had never heard of trust administration, or what a successor trustee is, or does. I now know they steer the ship. They step into the most sacred and terrifying moments, and they help. I am so grateful that Kim Valentine was there to help me and my family. I was setting sail on a foreign ocean that I did not know how to swim in, or where the life boats were.
All I knew was the voyage was long and waters rough. I'm still far from shore. Kim took care of all of the grown up responsibilities I was in no condition to engage.
My mother passed away days before our country went into lockdown. I lost the most important person in my life, and my job, and was told to go home and stay there, all in a matter of days. Thankfully there are individuals of such integrity and courage during such profound chaos. Thank you Kim for being my essential hero.
